In pasture, located on a level area on a rise, with a gentle fall of ground to WSW, and good views generally. The Trimoge River is 280m to E.
A circular, embanked enclosure (diam. 35-40m) is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map. It is shown as a large, subcircular or roughly polygon enclosure (diam. 55-60m) outlined by a solid line on the 25-inch plan; it is not shown on the 1931 OS 6-inch map.
A slight undulation, coinciding with the natural break of slope to SSW–W, may mark the curve of a levelled scarp; otherwise no visible trace. According to local information, the rath was known as 'Lissard' and there is a tradition that it had a ‘cave’ or souterrain (MA071-174001-); it was levelled in the late 1970's/early 1980's.
