What is recorded here

Located in a rath (MA071-147----). According to local information, a large stone located roughly in the centre of the rath interior marks the blocked up entrance to a souterrain. The entrance opens into a narrow passage or creepway, which led to a chamber. The chamber is roughly square in plan and roofed with overlapping slabs, and is large enough to stand up in. Another passage/creepway, which is blocked up, opens off the chamber. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 13 September 2021
