Located at the break of slope on the SW side of a ridge, in an area of rough pasture which was planted with deciduous trees in the early 1990's.
A circular embanked enclosure (diam. 20-25m), possibly a rath, is shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map, but not on later editions. It has been levelled. When inspected in 1997, the location was evident as a roughly circular area (diam. c. 16-20m) of rough stony, rather hard-packed ground marked by long grass.
