In pasture on the upper E-facing slope of a broad ridge. A circular area (int. diam. 38m) is enclosed by an overgrown, broad, flat-topped stony bank (int. H 0.1m at E-0.9m at W; Wth 7m; ext. H 1.6m at S-3.2m at E). An overgrown gap (Wth 4m) at SSE may be an original entrance and there are later livestock gaps at N and WSW. A fosse (Wth at base 1.5–2.5m; D 0.3-0.8m) runs outside the bank. The interior is generally level and featureless with some briar and thorn growth in the S half. A second rath (MA070-116----) lies c. 230m to the W and there is a third rath (MA070-118----) c. 280m to the SSW.
