What is recorded here

On a N-S ridge in improved pasture with a steep slope to the E and a coniferous plantation c. 60m to the W. Recorded on the first edition (1837) of the OS 6-inch map as a small circular enclosure (est. diam. c. 20m) and partly indicated on the later, Cassini edition (1920) of the map which depicts a later field boundary (since removed) running E-W across the N limits of the site. No visible surface trace survives and the location is indicated by a circular area (diam. c. 20m) of lush grass growth. A ringfort (MA070-032----) stands on the same ridge c. 175m to the S and a second ringfort (MA070-034----) stands c. 100m beyond it again, to the S.  Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy and Leo Morahan  Date of upload: 31-10-2025
