In pasture, located on a rise, which provides good views over the surrounding undulating terrain.
Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 20-25m) truncated on its S edge by an E−W road; it is not shown the 1920 edition. At this location there is a rise or hillock with steep, broadly sloping sides, which are several meters high; the S side of the hill is truncated by the E-W road, giving the hillock a D-shape plan. The hillock has a flat top (diam. c. 20m E−W); this may have been enclosed to serve as an enclosure, but no trace of an enclosure is now evident.
