In a rath (MA063-036----). According to local information, there is a souterrain in the W half of the rath interior. It was accessible in the early 20th century, when a surface opening revealed a drystone-built chamber or passage. The opening was later infilled. When the rath was inspected in 1996, a large slab, possibly a displaced lintel, was visible protruding from the ground surface in the NW quadrant of the interior; this may mark the location of the souterrain. The ground level is very slightly raised in its vicinity.
