In improved pasture, located on the broad, undulating top of a ridge, providing good views over surrounding grassland and flat expanses of bog. The Sonnagh River skirts the base of the ridge, c. 180m to SW. This possible rath is shown on the 1837 and 1919 OS 6-inch maps as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 30m). It enclosure has been levelled; there is no visible trace at ground level. It may have contained a souterrain (MA062-134001-). Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 26 January 2021
