In pasture, in an area of rough, boggy heather-covered land.
Not indicated on the 1837 and 1919 OS 6-inch maps. This record was included in the SMR (1991) and RMP (1997) as a possible cashel (pers. comm. F. McCann, 1990). There is no visible trace at ground level or in current aerial views, and no local memory or tradition of a cashel here. It is possible that an inaccurate location was given to the SMR.

This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.
The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
