In the vicinity of a possible rath (MA050-011----). According to local information, human bones were exposed, about 0.6m below ground surface, when a sandpit was dug adjacent to the levelled rath. The exact number of burials is uncertain, perhaps two or three. The skeletons were in an extended position and were not accompanied by artefacts. The bones were reburied and the sand pit was infilled. The exact location of the burials remains uncertain. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 12 June 2020
