Located in a burial ground (MA044-009001-), which survives as a low mound (14.5m ENE-WSW; 10.2m NNW-SSE). The cross-inscribed pillar is centrally located on the mound. It is a National Monument in State ownership (No. 423). It consists of an upright, roughly rectangular-shaped schist slab (H 2.02m; Wth 0.43m; T 0.23m), aligned WNW-ESE. The upper portion of the WNW face is occupied by an Maltese cross-in-circle (diam. 0.37m), incised in false relief. A number of small packing or support stones surround the base of the stone. There is a standing stone (MA044-009003-) located at the SW end of the burial ground.
