What is recorded here

In rough, heather-covered upland bog, located on the lower SW-facing slope of a high ridge in NW of Achill Island. There is an area of worked bog c. 60m to S. This consists of a low, roughly constructed wall (Wth 0.4m; H 0.3m) of stones, one to two stones wide and one to two stones high. It is largely concealed by sedges and heather, but can be traced E-SW in a shallow curve (L c. 4m). It maybe the remnants of a small enclosure. There is a cairn (MA042-049001-) 1.8m to S.
