What is recorded here

In pasture, located on a rise in an area of sharply undulating terrain. Views are good, especially to E, but not extensive. Not indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map; shown on the 1922 edition as a circular hachured area (diam. c. 20m), overlain by two intersecting field boundaries. This enclosure is covered in dense overgrowth of hawthorn, blackthorn and gorse, and is difficult to examine. It appears to consist of a slightly raised circular area (diam. 15-20m) defined by a scarp (Wth slope c. 3m; ext. H 1.3m at W). A remnant of a NW−SE field fence, removed elsewhere in the field, clips the E side. Another ruined field fence extends on a roughly NE−SW axis through the centre of the enclosure.
