In pasture, located on a rise, with good views, especially to S. Slightly raised broadly oval area (30m N−S; 34m E-W) defined by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.6m; int. H -.75m; ext. H 1.8m). On the E arc the bank is incorporated into the line of a farm laneway which extends to N and S of the rath; breaks in the bank at SE and NE allow access into the rath from the laneway. On the S arc bank has been adapted to serve as a field boundary. The level interior is densely covered in hawthorn, hazel and blackthorn scrub.
