What is recorded here

In an area of rough, stony heather-covered pasture, now largely converted to forestry, in the foothills of the Ox Mountains. There is rising ground to S−SE, and to N−NW ground falls for c. 75m into a small stream valley; the townland boundary coincides with the course of the stream. Roughly circular area (diam. 25-30m) defined by a low sod-covered stone bank/wall (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.55m; ext. H 1m). Low heather-covered field walls (Wth c. 1m; H 0.4-0.5m) radiate from the enclosure at SW and NE. Interior obscured by a dense growth of ferns.
