In pasture, located on a rise in undulating terrain, overlooking a stream which is 90m to W.
This enclosure is not shown on 1838 OS 6-inch map; it is shown on the 1922 edition as a subcircular area (diam. c. 16m) defined by an arc of hachuring at NW and by field boundaries elsewhere.
The enclosure is engulfed in a thicket of blackthorn and gorse, which impeded inspection. It is difficult to determine its original form; it may have been a circular or subcircular enclosure, which has been greatly modified and incorporated into a later system of field walls.
The remains now appear to consist of a squarish area (max. dim. c. 15m) defined on the W side by a stone-faced scarp (H 0.6m) which has a stony top (wth c. 1m). This scarp curves gently W-NW but then extends in a straighter line from N−E, intersecting at E with a N−S field wall, which defines straight E side of the enclosure. The straight S side consists of an E-W field wall which appears to be built on top of a sod-covered scarp (H 0.5).
