In pasture, at the tip of a headland jutting N into a small bay on the NE shoreline of Lough Conn.
Not shown on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps; shown on the 25-inch plan as a subtriangular-shaped hachured area (c. 40m N−S; c. 30m E−W at broad S end), encompassing the roughly triangular-shaped tip of the headland, and listed in 1991 SMR and in 1997 RMP as a possible promontory fort on this basis. A very slight rise in ground level is evident at the location, but there is no visible above ground evidence of an enclosure. A straight field fence is shown on the 1930 OS 6-inch map cutting across the headland on a NE−SW axis; this has been removed.
