In lowlying pasture, located on a slight N–S rise. The shoreline of Lough Conn is 100m to W. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular embanked enclosure (diam. c. 25-30m), with an E–W field fence immediately outside the bank at S, and on the 1930 edition as a D-shaped enclosure (c. 30-35m N-S; c. 30m E-W) bordered on the straight side at S by a field boundary. This enclosure was levelled in the mid 1990’s. Another enclosure (MA039-085----) is located c. 135m to NNE.
