What is recorded here

Located on the E side of Annaghroe Island in the NE end of Lough Conn. The island lie close to the shore and is accessible via a causeway (MA039-069), marked as ‘Ford’ on the 1930 OS 6-inch map. Subcircular earthen platform (27.6m N–S; 31.9m E–W) defined by a broadly slumped, partly levelled scarp (H 1.5m at SE, 0.7m at N; Wth slope 4-5m), which retains a hint of raised internal rim in part at S and W. Field boundaries shown abutting or adjacent to the rath at W and N on the 1838 and 1930 OS 6-inch maps have all been removed. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 25 March 2020
