What is recorded here

In pasture, 100m from the NE shoreline of Lough Conn. This enclosure is depicted on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular rath-like enclosure, and on the 1930 edition as a hachured, subcircular enclosure within a wooded, fenced off area. It has been levelled. There is no visible trace at ground level, but the outline of a subcircular cropmark (31m E–W; 26m N–S) is visible in aerial views. This remains an important historical record, but the official description says the monument is no longer visible or has been destroyed.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
