In pasture, located in lowlying ground surrounded by gently undulating terrain and low drumlin hills. Ground rises gently immediately to S, and there is a small drumlin c. 60m to NE. The S and W sides of the field are bordered by farm roads, and there is an active gravel quarry on an adjacent property to SW.
Slightly raised circular area or platform (24m E−W; 25.5m N−S) defined by a slight scarp (H 0.5m; Wth slope 4-5m).
The platform is very low profile. The top/interior is flat, grassy and featureless. The enclosing scarp appears to have been partly levelled in the past and is poorly defined, with a broadly slumped slope that grades almost seamlessly in the surrounding field surface. The top of the scarp is distinguished by a slightly longer growth of grass. On the W arc the scarp slopes down into a roughly circular rush-grown hollow (diam. 10-11m; D 0.5m) which seems to be a natural feature –a number of similar hollows occur elsewhere in the field. The impression of a slight depression outside the scarp on the N and S arcs may indicate an enclosing fosse.
