In an area of reclaimed and boggy pasture on the W bank of a N-flowing stream. There is a coniferous forestry plantation to SW.
When discovered in 1996, the field had recently been reseeded, and this burnt mound was visible as a roughly circular surface spread (Diam. c. 7m) of heat-shattered stone in a charcoal-rich matrix, beneath a thin cover of grass. An E-W field drain lies immediately to S.
