Located in rough, damp pasture.
A layer (L 6-8m; D 0.3-0.4m) of dark soil mixed with heat-shattered fragments of sandstone and charcoal fragments is visible in an E-facing section of a N-S field drain. A small portion of mound material is also visible in the field fence bordering the E side of the drain. The layer is truncated at the S by a modern causeway/farm track that traverses the drain. There is another burnt mound (MA038-173----) 15m to SW.
