What is recorded here

In the E half of a rath (MA089001), named ‘Lisheen’ on the 1838 and 1922 OS 6-inch maps. This children’s burial ground is indicated as ‘Infants’ Burial Ground (Disused)’ on the 1922 OS 6-inch map. It consists of a square area (9.5m NNW–SSE; 11.5m ENE–WSW) defined by a low, stony bank (W 2.3m; int. H 0.25m; ext. H 0.4m). The interior is largely obscured by blackthorn scrub, brambles and ferns. A few low stones, including one upright slab, which probably served as grave markers, can be seen in the N half, and stones can also be felt underfoot beneath covering vegetation.
