In average pasture, utilises a prominent rise, which provides good views of the surrounding countryside.
Shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 18-20m), and on the 1922 edition as an oval hachured feature (c. 18m N–S; c. 15m E–W), this monument has been severely damaged by quarrying, which has resulted in the destruction of the E half.
The W half survives as a crescent-shaped, raised area (c. 15m NNE–SSW; c. 11m ESE–WNW) curving S–NNE, with a scarped indentation on the eastern, quarried side. A raised rim (Wth 4-4.3m; int. H 0.3-0.4m; ext. H 1.7m), representing the remnants of a bank, defines the W edge of the crescent.
The whole is engulfed in brambles and gorse.
