What is recorded here

In average pasture, located on an undulating ridge top, which provides good views of the surrounding countryside. The Glenree or Owenmore River is located c. located c. 200m to S. Shown on the 1837-8 OS 6-inch map as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 25m), and on the 1922 edition as a sub-circular enclosure incorporated into a system of field boundaries. This enclosure has been levelled; its outline is discernible as a slight rise in field level. It is one of three close-set enclosures: an enclosure (MA031-026----) is located c. 15m to N and another (MA031-028----) is c. 20m to S. Compiled by: Jane O'Shaughnessy Date of upload: 28 June 2018
