What is recorded here

In pasture, located in gently undulating terrain, c. 50m N the Glenree or Owenmore River. Circular platform (diam. 8.4m) defined by a fosse (Wth 2.2m to NNW; 2.6m to SSE) and an external bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.6m; ext. H 0.4m to SSE; 0.85m to NNW) of earth and stone. The overall diameter is 16.4m. The bank incorporates some field clearance stones, and is ringed with hawthorn and brambles. A field fence skirts the barrow, 1m to W. There is a possible embanked barrow (MA031-014----) location on the opposite side of river c. 115m to SE. Compiled by: Jane O'Shaughnessy Date of upload: 13 June 2018
