In pasture, located on the N side of a rise, overlooking to E a natural depression of wet ground.
This moated site consists of a rectangular platform (32.5m NNE-SSW; 48m ESE-WNW) defined by an earthen bank, and enclosed by an external fosse. The bank (W 6.3m; int. H 1.35; ext. H 1.5m) is quite well preserved preserved at S, but elsewhere survives mainly as a scarp, lowest (ext. H 0.5m) at NE and E, which retains a slight internal lip in parts. The fosse (W 4.4m; ext. D 1.4m) is evident only on S side. Brambles and thorn bushes around the perimeter; interior grassy.
There is a rath (MA030-049----) c. 200m to NE.
