Eroding out of the SW slope of a possible habitation site/sand-hill (MA023-032001-) on the SE shoreline of Inishkea South.
A thin layer (L c. 0.6m; D 0.02-0.05m) of limpet and periwinkle shells is visible in section in the sandy body of the mound. A loose surface scatter of shell which has eroded out of the layer spreads downslope. A habitation site (MA023-033001-) and another midden (MA023-033002-) are located c. 30m to N.
