What is recorded here

Located at the base of an E-facing slope, abutting the external slope of the N-S enclosing wall of a promontory fort (MA023-023----). This possible house consists of a rectangular area (10m E−W; 5m N−S) defined by a low, sod-covered stone bank/wall footings (Wth 0.55m; H 0.2-0.3m). The remains are low profile and poorly defined. The interior is subdivided centrally by a N−S cross wall, marked by a slight rise from which low stones protrude. The N wall is barely discernible; the S wall which coincides with a slight fall of ground has a slumped stony slope. The W wall merges with the external face of the stone bank/wall of the promontory fort, which is overlain at this point by a U-shaped structure/sheepfold (L 4m N-S; Wth 1.5m E−W). It is surrounded by an expanse of relict cultivation ridges.
