On Bailey Mór mound (MA023-014003-), adjacent to the SW corner of a house (MA023-014008-).
This cross-inscribed pillar is a National Monument in state ownership (no. 379). Narrow upright stone (H 0.5m; Wth 0.19m N–S; T 0.08m), deeply embedded in the ground, with an incised cross on both broad faces. The top of the cross is angular and appears to be broken.
The E face bears a simple single-line cross, with the top of the cross 0.14m below the top of the stone. The incised lines are thin, the groove c. 2cm in width. The horizontal element extends more or less the full width of the stone. The vertical element measures 0.28m in total height, 0.11m above the horizontal arms and 0.17m below.
The W face is bears a single-line cross, with horizontal arms (Wth 0.16m) extending more or less the full width of the stone. The vertical element measures c. 0.2m in total height, 0.09m above the horizontal line and 0.12m below.
