Located on top of a mound barrow (MA022-118001-), at the S end of Bartragh Island. A small boulder is embedded in the sod surface on the W half of the flat top of the barrow. At its base the stone appears more or less circular (diam. c. 0.35m) in plan but the sides rise to a low rounded peak (H 0.2m) giving it an overall roughly pyramidal form, with rounded rather than angular corners. On the W face of the stone there is a small circular hollow or cupmark (diam. 0.03; D 0.01); it is not clear whether this feature is natural or artificial.
