This record refers to church, which is recorded by O’Rorke (1889, 420) as follows: ‘The original church was at Castleconor, and is entered in the taxation of 1307 as Castroconor, and valued at eight marks, a higher valuation even than that of Kilglass [SL016-011001-]’ The exact location of the church remains unknown.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
The map shows the centre of the officially named townland area, not the monument. The government record does not identify the exact monument point.
