What is recorded here

In pasture, situated on a SE facing hillside. Raised circular area (diam. 22.9m) defined by a scarp. At ENE–SE the scarp is topped with a low earthen bank, faced externally with drystone masonry which is probably of relatively recent date. At the foot of the scarp is a shallow fosse (Wth. 3.1m; max. D 0.3m) which is truncated at W–NNW by a NE–SW field boundary. Projecting into the internal area from the scarp at S is a shallow rectangular depression (L 5.5m N-S; Wth 1m; max. D 0.2m) which may indicate a collapsed souterrain (MA014-066001-). This is a National Monument in State ownership (No. 631).
