Situated close to the base of a steep WNW mountain hillside. To the E is the imposing sight of Benmore Mountain. Indicated on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as ‘Grave Yard’ and on the 1921 edition as ‘Children’s Burial Ground’, it consists of a raised subcircular area (12.2m NNE-SSW; 10.9m WNW-ESE) enclosed by a low, grass-covered bank of earth and stone. A stream skirts the N half. Within the interior are several small, low cairns of small to medium-sized stones, probably marking graves. There are also a number of low, uninscribed upright stone grave-markers. The largest (H 0.8m; Wth 0.2m; T 0.12m) of these is immediately inside the bank at ESE. Neary (1913-4, 24) suggested there may have been a church here, but there is no evidence to confirm this.
