The location of three cinerary urns discovered in May of 1929 in the townland of Knockadea has been recently identified by local historian, Nioclàs Ó Duinnín. The discovery of two cist burials 'near Knockadea' was described by Waddell (1970, 123) as; ‘A small vault' [LI057-071----] approximately 3 ft. [0.9m] x 2 ft. [0.6m] found c. 1916; it contained 'fragments of dried bones'. Six feet [1.8m] away an inverted encrusted urn burial [LI057-072----] was found'.
