In wet pasture to W of Galtee Mountain range and 120m E of the River Aherlow that marks the townland boundary with Ballyfauskeen. Holy Well (LI057-014----) known locally as 'Paradise Well' stands on S edge of earthwork. Not depicted on 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Partially indicated on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map which where it is shown as a raised area defined by a scarp from SW-W-N-N. The Cassini ed. OSi 6-inch map shows Paradise Well (LI057-014----) standing on the S edge of the scarp. Ó Danachair (1955, 208) described the site as following; ‘A small well on the edge of a small ring-fort’. Outline of earthwork delimited by trees is visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
