What is recorded here

Ó Danachair (1955, 208) recorded the following details about this holy well; 'Toberreendoney on 1840 map. This appears to be the entrance to a souterrain, not a well proper. It usually holds some water. Still called "Sunday's Well" by some, but there is no tradition of any devotion. Said to be the old site of Lady's Well (LI056-027----), which is in the same field, about 45 yards from this well'. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 03 July 2019
