In pasture on the S slope of Duntryleague Hill, the summit (922 ft., 281m) of which lies 480m to N. Barrow (LI049-265----) lies 120m to NW. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a large oval-shaped earthwork during examination of aerial photographs (BGE 1/10,000, 81) taken 03/11/1984 on the Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Faint cropmark of earthwork visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13. Faint trace of earthwork visible on Google Earth orthoimage taken 18/11/2018 but not visible on other aerial photos. Doubtful antiquity may be a natural curving scarp rather than the remains of an archaeological monument.
