In pasture. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as a raised circular-shaped area defined by a scarp. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised circular-shaped area (diam. c. 21m) defined by a scarp. In 1840 the Ordnance Survey recorded this monument as one of 'two ancient forts' in the townland (OSNB Abbeyfeale to Bruree, 190). Levelled monument visible as a circular-shaped cropmark on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 10/10/2006.
