What is recorded here

Ó Danachair (1955, 208) recorded the following details about this holy well; 'St Patrick's Well on 1840 map. The well is under the roadway, which is carried over on an arch; it is a strong clear bubbling spring. Formerly visited on 17th March. No devotions now. Children visit the well and say "Boil up, St Patrick's Well" or "Bubble up, Blessed Well". Natural spring well underneath public road with sandstone arch and dated keystone A.D. 1844.
