What is recorded here

In reclaimed pasture. Enclosure (LI049-039----) lies 55m to the N. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Earthwork identified as a potential levelled ringfort on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000; 2580) taken 03/11/1984. Monument visible as a raised roughly oval-shaped area (dims. c. 18m NW-SE x 30m NE-SW) defined by a scarp on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 20011-13. Appears to be the remains of an irregularly shaped earthwork that has been partially quarried away at NW which is visible on Google Earth orthoimages. See attached BGE aerial photograph and Google Earth orthoimages. Compiled by: Fiona Rooney Date of upload: 19 September 2021
