In reclaimed pasture, 35m S of townland boundary with Raheen. Barrow (LI049-235----) lies 60m to the NW, enclosures (LI049-038/040---) lie 85m to the NW and 55m to the SW, respectively. Annotated ‘Illaunaholata Moat’ on OSi historic maps. Depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map as an oval shaped platform defined by a scarp. Shown on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a raised oval-shaped platform (dims. c. 18m N-S, 22m E-W) defined by a scarp. Levelled earthwork visible as a rectangular-shaped cropmark with linear cropmarks intersecting the site at N, W, S and SW on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000; 2580) taken 03/11/1984. Levelled monument visible as an oval-shaped cropmark (dims. c. 18m N-S x 22m E-W) immediately S of a relic watercourse running E-W, on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 20011-13. Cropmark of levelled earthwork visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
