In reclaimed pasture, 50m N of Morningstar River that forms townland boundary with Mitchelstowndown. Possible moated site (LI049-022----) lies 110m to the NW. Not marked on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as an oval-shaped platform (dims. c. 18m NE-SW x 16m NW-SE) defined by a scarp transected at W by drainage channel running N-S. Cropmark of monument visible on Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000; Strip Map 4, Site 4/4) taken 03/11/1984. Outline of monument visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 20011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages.
