In reclaimed pasture 120m N of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Mitchelstown West. Possible barrow (LI049-003----) lies 130m to NE. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a possible moated site during examination of Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline aerial photographs (BGE 1/5000 2573 Site No. 4/15A) taken 03/11/1984, where it is visible as a large rectangular-shaped area divided into two quadrants by a fosse running E-W and a farm trackway. Visible as a rectangular-shaped area (dims. c. 53m N-S; 35m E-W) defined by a fosse on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12.
