In reclaimed pasture 45m S of a watercourse that marks the townland boundary with Mitchelstowndown North. One of 36 possible barrows (LI049-001008/041/043/044-) within an area measuring c. 250m N-S x c. 450m E-W. A group of seven possible barrows (LI049-001001/007-) lies 210m to W. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a barrow on examination of Bord Gáis Éireann aerial photograph (BGE 2573; Site No. 286) taken 03/11/1984. No surface remains visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
