In wet pasture 15m S of the townland boundary with Mitchelstowndown North. One of seven possible barrows (LI049-001001/007-) within an area measuring c. 100m N-S x c. 120m E-W. A barrow cemetery containing 36 possible barrows (LI049-001008/041/043/044-) lies 270m to E. Not depicted on OSi historic maps. Identified as a barrow on examination of Bord Gáis Éireann aerial photograph (BGE 2573; Site No. 345) taken 03/11/1984. Visible as a roughly circular-shaped cropmark (diam. c. 4m) on Digital Globe orthophotos taken between 2005-12. No surface remains visible on Google Earth orthoimages.
