In modern coniferous forest plantation, 175m S of Barranahown River that forms townland boundary with Moorestown. One of three standing stones (LI048-065002/004-) located inside interior of earthwork (LI048-065001-). Stone in Nw quadrant of earthwork. Not depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map. Annotated ‘Pillar Stones’ on the Cassini ed. OSi 6-inch map. Stones visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimage taken 28/06/2018 may represent the remains of the 'Pillar Stones' annotated on the OSi 6-inch map (Grogan 1989, 270).
