Glenfield Corn Mills may have been built on site of a medieval mill known as the 'old manor mills'. In 1837 it was recorded that in the parish of Kilmallock was 'Glenfield oat-mills, belonging to Mr. Ivers, built in 1825, at a very great expense, on the site of the old manor mills' (Lewis 1837). No surface remains visible of levelled corn mill on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13.
