In pasture 30m S of the townland boundary with Ballygubba. Located within excavated ring ditch (LI047-012004-) that was cut into Neolithic House Site 2 (LI047-012002-) and 30m W of excavated Neolithic house Site 1 (LI047-012001-). Not depicted on OSi historic mapping. The cremation pit was identified in 1987 during excavations by Christine Tarbett and Margaret Gowen when two cuttings were opened within an area 30m north and north-west of House 1 and was described as follows; ‘A pit, containing two badly broken, upright, undecorated Bronze Age pots, each containing a cremation, was found 0.3m from the east trench in the interior of House 2 [LI047-012002-]’ (Tarbett and Gowen 1988, 21).
